INDIVIDUAL TUTORIAL SESSION 

We offer individual tutoring sessions grades K-12  in the following subjects: Math, Reading, Grammar, Writing, etc.,  All individual sessions are $38.00 an hour for students who are not low-income. 

 

ALGEBRA 1

Algebra 1 content involves understanding, writing, solving, and graphing linear and quadratic equations—including systems of two linear equations and inequalities with two unknowns. At the end of the course students should be proficient in solving equations with monomial, polynomial expressions, and solving word problems with one or two unknowns.

 

BEGINNERS READING

Learning phonics is the ability to utilize and work with individual sounds in spoken words. Since English is an alphabetic language, the best way to teach English-is to teach the sounds of the letters and letter combinations. Our beginners reading program consist of a successful phonics approach to teaching reading.

MATH COMPUTATION

Students will be proficient in the following: orders of operations; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of decimals; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of fractions; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of positive and negative numbers; completing "math drills in 2.5 minutes or less with 95% accuracy.

WRITING ELEMENTARY

This course will help your student become proficient in the following: Paragraph writing - what makes a paragraph, the narrative paragraph, the descriptive paragraph, etc., Grammar - nouns, pronouns, adjectives, preposition, prepositional phrase, adverbs, conjunction, simple subject, simple predicate. etc.,

WRITING MIDDLE &

HIGH SCHOOL

This course will help your student become proficient in the following: Paragraph writing - what makes a paragraph, the narrative paragraph, the descriptive paragraph, etc., Essay writing - writing a thesis, writing an introduction, writing the body paragraph, etc., Research writing - choosing a topic, gathering information, citation, etc. Grammar - students will be able to proofread an essay for grammar usage, and errors.
